Nicolas Buck is an entrepreneur and a graduate of the University of Bath, but also an economics engineer of the Hochschule für Druck und Medien in Stuttgart. In 2000, he co-founded Victor Buck Services – later sold to P&T Luxembourg – and in 2012 he established SEQVOIA, a start-up that uses fund and regulatory insights coupled with cutting-edge technology to help fund managers to be more successful with RegTech. As he puts it: “At SEQVOIA we take away the pain from fund document production with our leading fund reporting solutions.” Today, SEQVOIA, which is featured in the Top 100 RefTech of most influential firms, generates a 3 million turnover with a team of 17 people.
Nicolas sits on various boards in the banking sector and private financial companies. He is the chairman of FEDIL, as well as of BLI, an asset management company offering fund and portfolio management services to institutional and private clients.
In 2004, he was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year distinction at age 34 and in 2016 recognised as one of the Top 5 influencers for entrepreneurship and business creation in Luxembourg.
